Single Handed - The Story of Keith Maze and His Dog Wishbone
A heartwarming story of how an Alabama familys struggle to overcome adversity turns into victory. The book is centered around Keith Maze and his battle with epithelioid sarcoma. This deadly cancer causes Keith to lose his right hand after several failed surgeries. During Keiths ordeal, his dog Wishbone gets into a terrible accident and eventually loses a front leg. Ironically, Keith and his dog Wishbone had become single handed. Author Loretta Wade tells this inspiring tale with her signature southern charm and she encourages all readers with the message that being single handed isnt all that bad.

Some of my favorite books are: Unmerited Favor by Joseph Prince 1984 by George Orwell The Catcher in the Rye by J.D. Salinger Pet Cemetery by Stephen King The Lord of the Rings by J.R.R. Tolkien.
Who is your all time favourite author?
Stephen King is my all time favorite author for many reasons, but the biggest reason for me is his attention to detail. King uses descriptions of surroundings, smells, and background noises to build the readers suspense.
What is the last book you read? And whats is about?
The last book I read was Unmerited favor by Joseph Prince. The book details the Christian concept of Grace and how it works for us now. Having Gods unmerited favor is a realization we must come to, learn, and then proceed forward with in our lives.
Can you tell us about your favourite best selling books?
My favorite best selling book would be The Catcher in the Rye by J.D. Salinger. The main character, Holden Caulfield, gives a teenagers cynical view on the world. Nothing is sacred as he addresses parents, girlfriends, school, and many more subjects.
Describe your books goal?
The goal of the book Single Handed is to encourage readers that face adversity in their lives. The book tells how Keith Maze lost his right hand due to epithelioid sarcoma, a rare cancer. That would be enough to send many people into a deep despair. Ironically, his dog loses his right front leg in an accident shortly thereafter. There is a lot to be learned from the dog. Wishbone, as he overcomes his loss of a limb quickly because he just accepts it and moves forward.
