What skills do you have in Construction?
Flat work is our bread & butter, as in walkways, patios steps & driveways. Steve does a beautiful set of custom bullnose steps. Each job is custom formed & poured to what ever the situation. All flat work & steps are guaranteed to last. If it cracks 2 years from now, give us a call.
Any adivice for a people out there regarding Construction?
Many customers are interested in doing there own home improvements. I commend them for that. Some have said, "I did concrete work once & Ill never do it again!". Its hard, heavy work that dries fast & if you dont like the result, your going to live with it for the next 50 years. Or hire us & it will be done to your specification, for the next 50 years or so.
Do you always need to hire a professional?
You should. You need to know how to remove & where to dispose of the material your removing. You cant just pour concrete on a patch of grass or dirt & think its going to last. If you form it wrong, the wet concrete will take that bad shape or break from the weight. The finish is very important & needs to be done correctly, at the right time.
What are the basics of construction management?
Get in, Get it done & get out. Concrete is fickle. It doesnt like rain, frost or freezing temperatures. So when you have a good window, you need to work quickly & efficiently. We take all our toys & go home. Debris is taken with us & the area is broom swept.
What construction jobs do you specialize in?
Again, sidewalks, steps, patios & driveways are our bread & butter. We also do retaining walls for actually holding the hill back or decorative purposes. Stucco on outside walls for that old world look, basement walls to help seal out mother nature. Take off that vinyl/aluminum siding & brick or stone veneer can turn your cookie cutter house into a stone cottage or just an area to break up that bland (probably beige) siding.
